Steve Haining is an internationally acclaimed visual artist, renowned for breaking the Guinness World Record for the Deepest Underwater Portrait Photo-shoot and becoming the first person in history to capture a model portrait series beyond the no-decompression limits of scuba diving. With a remarkable portfolio that spans photography, cinematography, and directing for both television and feature films, Steve has garnered numerous accolades for his groundbreaking and imaginative work.
Steve’s career began over a decade ago, quickly establishing him as a prominent figure in photography. His early work saw him collaborating with top rock bands and performing artists, capturing iconic album covers and promotional material while touring the world. His impressive portfolio led to partnerships with major record labels such as Universal Music and BMI, as well as influential television networks like MTV and Much Music.

Steve Haining branched from photography into cinematography in early 2015, quickly gaining recognition for his unique visual style in television commercials, music videos, and digital ads. His passion for filmmaking grew as he took on roles in documentaries, TV shows, and genre films as a director, producer, and cinematographer.
Haining’s debut documentary, The Long Ride Home, earned over a dozen notable awards, including several “Best Feature Documentary” honours, the “Canadian Cinematography Award,” and “Best Director.” He directed a successful sequel, with both films securing distribution deals on Broadcast television, Amazon Prime, & AppleTV. His first horror film, Lianne, was acquired by Amazon and pulled a ‘cult classic’ following across the UK. His production studio has grown since then and he continues to build notoriety in both short and long form content.
The team is currently in production of a series that opens the door on the untold stories of some of our favourite professional artists set for a 2026 release.
